Whether you're buying fine jewellery or horsehair jewellery, adding engraving is a really wonderful way of adding to the story behind the jewellery, making it even more unique to you.

Here's some useful information and a few tips to help you choose the perfect engraving for your jewellery:

Which items of jewellery can be engraved?

Most of our jewellery can be engraved - the insides of rings and bracelets, and the backs of pendants.  And for jewellery commissions - the sky's the limit!  We can add engraving to the inside and/or the outside, front or back, or even centre the entire design around your engraving.

What sort of things can I have engraved?

Anything you like!  We can add names, significant dates, pet names, little quotes that are meaningful to you, or, if you are buying jewellery as a gift, we can add a short message to the recipient.

Can I choose the font style?

Absolutely!  You can choose from around 14 different styles - and - because it's not easy to visualise what your chosen text will look like, we'll send you your choice of text in each font style, so you can see exactly how it will look.

Do you have any tips?

Swirly scripts look good with single names - but if you have more than one word, the plainer the font the clearer it will be, especially on a small area.

We'll always advise you if we think your choice won't work - or won't fit, and we'll always work with you to find a solution you're happy with.

How do I request text engraving?

All you need to do is select the "add engraving" option before adding your chosen jewellery to your basket.  Then type in the text you'd like engraved, exactly how you wish it to appear on your jewellery:  (for example, don't include any punctuation unless you want it engraved!).  Don't forget,  we're always happy to help if you're unsure about anything.

When we've made your jewellery we'll be in touch with a selection of fonts for you to choose, and we'll double check spelling etc with you too.

How much does it cost?

Text engraving costs £35.  This is automatically added to the total when you select the "add engraving" option for your chosen jewellery.

Can you engrave things other than text?

Yes!  We can engrave fingerprints, your hand drawn pictures, or your own handwriting.  These jobs are priced individually on request, so simply get in touch with what you would like before you order.
